"I say this almost every night on stage and I know this sounds cliché but I’m telling you this is 100% the way I feel, this isn’t to make people that we’re trying to seem overly nice people. I think it’s awesome that a band like our band exists because we were never supposed to be the size we are right now or doing the things we’re doing. We were just a local band playing music that didn’t make sense and that people made fun of. You kind of have to choose if you’re going to be a pop/punk band or a hardcore band, but you can’t be both. We never listened to that and I think we sucked for the first little while so I think we learned a lot of lessons along the way and we kind of used all the negative stuff that people were saying about us as positive and kind of turned the songs into stuff that people can related to because of it, like people looking down on you. You have something better to offer. If our band was to say one thing it would be that you can do anything you want to do if you actually care about it and believe in it. All it takes is you believing in yourself and you can do anything you want. This band should not be doing what it’s doing but it is because we care about what we do and we work hard at it. That’s what I want people to think when they think of A Day To Remember."
